Model Railway Exhibition
We are returning to the Scottish Maritime Museum for our 2024 Exhibition.
Durham Trains of Stanley : Douglas Blades : KMS : Shedring Hobbies and Lathalmond Models will be present at Irvine. David and Franzi Kay will show their dioramas and Graham McQuaker will be there with Modern Transport Images.
We are continuing with the craft stalls which proved a big hit last year.
Kilmarnock MRC will be exhibiting their OO Gauge Layout Netherton and Wards Way their ever popular self drive Thomas themed layout.
Visiting layouts from Ayr MRG and Renfrewshire MRC will be on show. Dave Coddington will again evoke nostalgia with his vintage Hornby layout. Three private layouts will be on show by Tam Gauld, Alan Deans and Paul Slyfield. Douglas Sutherland will bring along his tramway layout. We are also having a drive yourself Scalextric Layout for children of all ages.
MERG and the N Gauge Society of Scotland along with Irvine Model Group will be demonstrating aspects of Modelling .
The Industrial museum from Dalmellington will be there and hopefully we should have a display from The Maid of the Loch group; and Ayr Bay Radio Controlled Yacht Club
Eva and a group from the Museum will again be running some workshops for the children to make mementoes of their vist.
Car parking is easily available and the building has full disabled access.
Some craft stall will also be present selling items like Baking and wooden items.
Admission to the Exhibition will also allow access to the Museum Displays in the Lint
