Kids' Fun Fair Day in Canons Park
Lots for everyone to enjoy at the 20th annual Kids’ fun Fair Day in Canons Park on Sunday 4 August this year (11am to 6pm). As well as the usual attractions such as the kids’ fun fair, ‘fun’ dog contest (2.40 -3pm), face painting, hair braiding and face painting, there are lots of free activities including musical entertainment with a brass band, a steel band and guitar interludes; kids’ free art desk, nature discovery stall, Nordic walking, tai chi, yoga, tours of nearby historic St Lawrence Church and more. The park is blessed with a great adventure playground and green gym as well as plenty of wide-open spaces for fun and games, picnics and just lazing in the sun! Liam' Coffee House at the Good Friends Cafe will be serving sweet and savoury snacks, hot and cold drinks, popcorn and other goodies and if there is still room for a little more snacking, visitors can look in on Dotty’s Sweets to round off their visit.
