The latest adaptation of the classic Alexandre Dumas novel, variously reviewed as ‘dazzling’, ‘spectacular’ and ‘highly entertaining’.
D’Artagnan is left for dead after trying to save a young woman from kidnap. He arrives in Paris, determined to find his attackers, not knowing that his search will lead him into a war which threatens the future of France.
Allied with three musketeers of the King, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, he faces the dark machinations of Cardinal Richelieu, and falls in love with Constance Bonacieux, confidante of the Queen.
This leads him into conflict with his future mortal enemy, Milady de Winter.
The film stars François Civil, Vincent Cassel, Pio Marmaï, Romain Duris and Eva Green.
Duration 116 minutes, with English subtitles.
