Britain's What's On Event Guide
Dunton Community Garden Coffee Morning
Refreshments served from 10.30am-12 noon in the covered, open front barn. Chat, play or wander round the garden. The event will go ahead in all weathers.
Dunton Community Garden is run by volunteers & worked on organic gardening principles. We hold coffee mornings to provide a community gathering point, sell produce & preserves and enjoy the surroundings. Also, if you are interested in volunteering, it's a good way to get a feel of the garden.
To access the garden for events, visitors may take a short cut through Church Farm at the end of Church Street (to the left of the March Hare Pub, signs up on the day).
NB: Follow the concrete road (past the farm's pond) & turn L after the barn. The polytunnel and garden entrance is on the left. Vehicle access & parking for blue badge holders is also via this route. Please leave space for vehicle access onto the grass in dry weather, as the closest parking for disabled access is by the wood-clad buildings. Note: For wheelchair users, there is improved access with new matting that has been laid from the entrance to the buildings. Otherwise, the terrain is grass. Cyclists welcome. Water bottles can be refilled. Toilet on site. Dogs welcome on a lead.
Coffee morning 10.30am-12 noon. Free entry. Donation for refreshments/cakes.
May be seasonal garden produce, preserves (chutneys & jams made with garden produce) on sale to raise funds for the garden. For children, there's lots to do & explore. Drawing materials, digging implements, water play & garden toys available. www.facebook.com/dunton.communitygarden . We have a Young Gardeners patch for play, digging & growing.
