Summer Plant Fair at Whittington Castle, Shropshire on Sunday 30 June
Summer Plant Hunters’ Fair at Whittington Castle, Shropshire with FREE ENTRY to the plant fair & castle grounds (there is a small charge to park).
The nurseries will come loaded with a great range of perennials, shrubs, trees, rare species and old heritage varieties. It’s just the right time to pick up some summer flowering plants to give your garden a boost and we know that the nurseries will have just the right plant to set your summer garden ablaze with colour or to add a sparkle to a shady spot.
If you need some advice to help you choose then the nursery folk are on hand to help, each an expert in their field with years of knowledge and experience, and full of helpful tips.
The strikingly picturesque and romantic ruins are steeped in much history, tales of bitter border warfare, romance and legend. Whittington is a small rural community in Shropshire close to the market town of Oswestry. Whittington Castle sits in the centre of this lovely village. The existing Castle is set in about 12 acres of grounds and is the remains of a Norman home.
Dogs on leads welcome.

The plant fair runs from 10am-4pm on Sunday 30th June 2024.
FREE ENTRY to the plant fair (there is a car parking charge which goes to the charity running the castle) Access to the grounds of Whittington Castle is free.

Whittington Castle is situated in the centre of Whittington village. 2 miles east of Oswestry.
It is Just 25 minutes from Shrewsbury (A5), and 35 minutes from Chester (A483).
