5th Annual Summer Tai Chi in Whitaker Park Rossendale Free Event
Lighthouse are please to return for the 5th Year to Whitaker Park, with free tai chi for everyone to join in and enjoy with David & Helena from Lighthouse Tai Chi®, professional instructors who work for Rossendale Leisure.
The Mayor of Rossendale has been invited to officially open the event, followed by a performance by Rossendale Ladies Choir. The tai chi starts at 2pm
We are supported by The Marsden Building Society, Rossendale Leisure Trust, Sykeside Country House Hotel & Rossendale Borough Council.
The event will go ahead rain or shine. Find us on the embankment above the bowling green with spectacular views of the Valley and hills. There are big trees with shade if needed and our gazebo will be there to provide information about local classes.
Participation is free and at your own risk. No previous experience is required and all ages and abilities are welcome. Please come prepared for British Summer Weather.
We will be asking for donations towards the costs. Cash or card accepted.
Children with adults and families are welcome. We ask that any photography/filming is kept to a minumum to allow people to relax and enjoy the event and to safeguard any children or vulnerable adults taking part.
Free parking in the car parks or on street is available.
Please pre-book lunch at The Whitaker if you wish to enjoy a light bite before the tai chi or an afternoon tea afterwards.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and under control at all times.
There will be a second tai chi only event on Sunday 30th June at 1.30pm
