Willow Christmas decorations workshop
Willow weaving is a great way to learn about traditional techniques and natural materials. Share the company of family or make new friends while learning on the day.
In the perfect setting of Haddenham Arts Centre, you will learn techniques to make your own Christmas Decorations from two or three colours of willow and some recycled materials.
Jane will take you through all the techniques necessary to make your pieces and everyone will go home with finished decorations they can be proud of and be part of your seasonal celebrations for many years.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those who have done some willow weaving before. Maximum 8 places enable a really good learning experience. All tools and materials are supplied.
Jane has experience teaching all age groups with a variety of needs. This workshop is suitable for everyone over the age of 14, children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times.
Additional things you might like to bring; Notebook, pens or pencil, Garden Wire, Scissors and String, Sharp Knife – Stanley or Craft, and Gardening gloves.
You can pre-book a special workshop lunch offer on arrival. Fresh produce is made on-site every day.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
You will need to have a reasonable amount of strength in your hands to be able to work with the willow. Please wear older clothes, such as those you would wear for gardening, sandals are not advisable.
Willow needs to be prepared at least a week in advance for each workshop. Therefore if workshops are cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, bookings will be transferred to alternative dates. No refunds will be given.
