Britain's What's On Event Guide
Visit the Vulcan on Fathers' Day
Our Visit the Vulcan on Fathers' Day is an ideal day out for Dad and the family. You will have the opportunity to walk around the Vulcan in its hangar in the shadow of its huge delta wings
You will also see examples of the weapons it carried, including two 1,000 lb High Explosive bombs, the type of bomb the Vulcan dropped on Port Stanley airfield during the 1982 Falklands Conflict.
Vulcan XL426 will be joined by other exhibits, making this a great time out for the whole family. Please check back for details.
Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day and our shop will be open selling a selection of Vulcan souvenirs, including models, badges, patches, postcards, books and much more.
Cockpit visits will take place on a timed ticket basis, so there is no need to stand and queue.
Limited free car parking will be available close to the Vulcan. Please follow the ‘Vulcan Open Day’ direction signs after entering the airport.
If the Vulcan car park is full, visitors will need to park in the airport’s short stay car park (for which there is a charge) which is approximately 10 minutes walk from the Vulcan.
Sorry – we regret that no animals can be admitted except assistance dogs.
Doors open at 10.00 am on each day with last entry at 4.00 pm.
General admission is £8.00 for adults with accompanied under-16s FREE. Tickets will be on sale on the gate and are also available to buy in advance should you wish. There is no need to buy tickets for under-16s.
