RESILIENCE Meeting @ INCHBERRY Hall - Thu Nov 7, 2024, 10:30-2:30pm
You are invited to join the Moray Community RESILIENCE Event, 2024, at INCHBERRY Hall, Orton, Moray.
Join us for an information marketplace, an update on emergency planning in Moray and for a fabulous guest talk by Bob Dow, from Torphins Community Help (TorCH), who will be sharing his groups experience, activities and learnings from Storm Arwen to now.
View the commissioning and demonstration of the disconnect of the Hall from mains power, then the recovery recorded of the new power generator powering up to provide electric power for the INCHBERRY Hall, from the standby power unit supplying all requirements in INCHBERRY Hall.
This facility has been installed by means of part SSE grant funding. The aim has been to provide sustainable and resilient facilities to use for residents to overcome storm and power failures in the area.
We will also be distributing a small pot of money between CRG’s who attend the event and submit a Community Emergency Plan to Moray Council, using the agreed template.
