Paul Robertson: Soundscapes
The opening event of the Music in Pinner 24/25 season is a charity concert for the Music Mind Spirit Trust.
Viv McLean (piano), Fenella Humphreys (violin) and Professor Anthony Pinching (narrator) explore the late Paul Robertson’s extraordinary book of that name, in music - Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Elgar, Janacek, Ravel, Pascoe, Tavener - and in words from the book and about Paul, who memorably played and spoke in Pinner.
The concert portrays Paul's life, musicianship and profound insights, mostly in his own words and with music that connects to his story – which he set down following the near-death experience that liberated an extraordinary reflection on music and meaning.
This will be a very special concert by two brilliant musicians, and with added insights from Paul, in support of the charity that he and Chika Robertson set up.
