Pen Selwood's 69th Traditional Fete & Show - Fete opens at 12 noon

Tucked away on the borders of Somerset, Dorset & Wiltshire, just off the A303, the Fete opens at 12 noon and is run by an enthusiastic team of villagers (no commercial stalls or attractions), enabling us to offer tremendous value! Queues typically head first for Pen Selwood's famous White Elephant which has received record donations which are sorted into specialist ‘shops’. New for 2024, a Christmas stall. Please note this is a cash event, although a few card readers are now available. Free entertainment includes Mr Wilkins' Shilling Morris team who will demonstrate traditional clog dancing. Sadly the Two Hats Busking Team were forced to cancel.

Children are well catered for. Youngsters can enjoy testing their Circus Skill for FREE all afternoon on a wide range of equipment, while their parents can browse the many stalls or enjoy the refreshments on offer on the Fete field. They can also try their luck on their very own Children's Tombola and browse the Toy Stall. Face painting is back again.

The Grand Draw's first prize is £250, with many more great prizes up for grabs including cases of fine wines! Pen Selwood's Flower, Craft & Produce Show will once again fill St Michael's Church [opposite the Fete Field] - always popular with Fete visitors, you will find plenty to enjoy and inspire.

Come hungry! The Barbecue fires up for midday. Wash lunch down with a choice of local ales & ciders, plus Pimms, wines and soft drinks from the Pen Pub tent. You can also enjoy Books, Bottle Tombola, Cakes, Grand Draw, Plants & Produce and more. Delicious Pen Teas with home made treats are available from 12.30pm. Be sure to browse the popular Pre-loved Clothing & Accessories for both men and women. Come early to grab the best bargains!

Please note, NO dogs except guide dogs on Fete Field and NO entry to Fete Field before the noon opening. Proceeds will be divided between St Michael's Church and the Pen Selwood Comm
The Fete opens at 12 noon, and finishes at approximately 4.30 - 5.00pm.
