Virtuoso piano concert by Kyle Hutchings, nr Eccleshall, Stafford

A programme of pieces by Mozart, Schubert and Franck, performed by virtuoso young British pianist Kyle Hutchings in the mediaeval Adbaston Church (very good acoustics).

The concert from 5:30-7:30pm comprises a first half of two 'heavenly' Mozart works: the Fantasia in C minor K475, then his Sonata in C minor K457 (three movements). After a refreshments interval, Kyle will play Schubert's Six Moments Musical, D 780 and César Franck's Prelude, Fugue et Variation, Op 18 (transcribed for piano by Harold Bauer).

After just twelve months of self-teaching, classical pianist Kyle Hutchings won a scholarship to study in London with internationally-acclaimed pianist Richard Meyrick, going on to receive a series of prizes and to give recitals in leading venues such as St John's Smith Square. He comments: Mozart and Schubert make up most of my repertoire. They are two supreme vocal composers. Everything in life and the human condition is there in the music and everything is imbued with that singing line. They make perfect partners I believe

Kyle is supported by the Keyboard Charitable Trust, London, as one of their young artists developing international concert performance careers; also by the Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation. He will be performing across Europe and making his American debut in the 2024-25 season.
