New Hall Water Mill
Heritage Open Day: Free to enter the working water mill in a beautiful location with exhibitions and grounds including pondside walks, tree trail and meadow walks. Tea room, car parking, bike parking, accessible ground floor and exhibitions. New Hall Water Mill is an 18th century, Grade II listed, flour mill in full working order. It has a large overshot wheel powering millstones that produce stoneground wholemeal flour. A two cylinder Rushton stationary diesel engine powers other machinery. There are 3 floors to explore with working equipment and demonstrations.
There is also a popular tearoom, Mill Yard, Cart Barn, extensive meadows and ponds to wander around, a gift shop and exhibition.
Plants, fresh fruit and vegetables are sold in the Miller's Garden. There areoften side stalls and events taking place - singers, morris dancers, bee keeping, crafts and skills demonstrations and more.
Car parking is free of charge. Toilets are fully accessible.
