Britain's What's On Event Guide
Blue Flamingos - 60s Review
The Blue Flamingos serve a selection of 1960s hits from both sides of the Atlantic.
The stage show features a full live band and is unique in that it has both male and female vocalists. Split into two halves, the first half explores the very popular British Swinging Sixties, featuring the UK's most memorable artists of the time including: Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, The Searchers, Sandie Shaw, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Hollies, The Animals, and of course The Beatles.
In the second half the band whisks the audience over the Atlantic to the USA with fantastic renditions of the great American hits of the same era. With soaring 4-part vocal harmonies, the band pays homage to such legendary stars as the Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, Roy Orbison, Sonny and Cher, The Crystals, Dion, Neil Diamond, and many more.
The set is performed by professional entertainers and musicians who have learned their trade as members of 1960's bands such as The Animals and The Applejacks.
