About this Event
Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem
Brahms’ profound Ein Deutsches Requiem, performed by mixed choir and piano duet, and sung in German, is the centrepiece of Salford Choral Society’s Spring Concert.
Composed in the period following his mother’s death, Brahms wrote passionately about his Requiem to his close friend Clara Schumann. A composer herself, we will also be singing her Abendfeier in Venedig, plus Blest Pair of Sirens by Hubert Parry, upon whom Brahms was such a huge influence.
