FHT Accredited Integrated Counselling Skills Course
Limited to 12 places for this intensive course, students will have an initial interview with the tutor.
This fully accredited course is open to anyone who wishes to improve their communication skills and is particularly suited for those who work in a caring profession, for example, complementary and beauty therapists, police officers, social workers, health care practitioners, managers, HR (human resources) and many other professions
This intensive course runs for 4 hours, once a week for 36 weeks (not including the school holiday’s) and combines the Introduction level 2 (there is no level 1) to Counselling and the level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills, which is the pathway onto further training to become a counsellor. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be qualified to use counselling skills when communicating with people at work or with friends and family.
You will learn the theory of counselling and the basic practical skills needed for this qualification. There are four written assignments and two practical assessments, as well as a series of journals to complete in order to gain certification. Students are expected to have a good standard of writing.

What are the costs involved The fee for this course is £1,800
A £450 deposit is required to secure your place on the course. Payment plans are available for the remaining fees, which need to be paid monthly in agreement with the terms and conditions, explained fully at the interview.
There will be textbooks to purchase (second hand from bookshops or online), details of which will be given to you at the interview.
