The Edgar Macias Latin Jazz Quintet
Venezuelan born, classically trained pianist Edgar Macias brings his superb Latin Jazz Quintet to the Bolehall Manor, Tamworth, on Monday 13th February. Since moving to the UK, following time served as a member of the Venezuela Symphony Orchestra, Edgar Macias has established himself as a highly regarded jazz pianist. Now “an indispensable part of the Midlands jazz scene”, Edgar has played alongside trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis and tenor saxophonists Scott Hamilton, Simon Spillett and the late Don Weller and Andy Hamilton.
On the 13th, Edgar brings to the Bolehall Manor his own Latin Jazz Quartet, “which combines different styles, from mainstream jazz to funk, all with a Latin flavour.”
Edgar leads a most talented line-up featuring the ever popular Tom Clarke-Hill on bass, Miles Levin on drums, Richard Sealy on percussion and Chris Bowden on sax, a great evening is guaranteed – and all for just £12 on the door.
