Dudlet Little Theatre presents: Teechers by John Godber
To conclude our current season we are performing Teechers, a comedy about school days by the master of Northern comedy, John Godber. Through the medium of their end of term play, three fifth form students – Gail, Hobby and Salty – tell the hilarious story of their idealistic new drama teacher in his perilous first days at their local comprehensive school, and the affect of his lessons on the kids. Most of you will recognise your own school days in this play – the cool kid, the bully, the attractive female gym teacher, the head teacher, and what goes on behind the bike sheds! As the rowdy students gradually learn to be better people through their drama teacher’s love of his subject, the decision he makes at the end of the school year will change both his and his students’ lives forever.
