Free Concert by Polperro Fishermen's Choir
This concert sees the the choir at home in Polperro Methodist Chapel for another in the summer series of free concerts for the centenary year of Polperro Fishermen's Choir. The choir has been based in the chapel for all of its 100 years, since the working fishermen started their choir in 1923. It's a lovely chapel, says celebrity broadcaster Richard Madeley, who is a very supportive President of Polperro Fishermen's Choir and comes to chat to them in their home base. Come and see it for yourself! The Wreckers will be also be singing nearby afterwards. Any donations will go to the choir's chosen charities for 2023 which are the Chestnut Appeal for Men’s Health, the Sea Watch Foundation, and the choir's own music charity.
