Springing into Summer: a choral celebration of our 30th anniversary
Yeovil Chamber Choir is pleased to announce its next concert entitled
“Springing into Summer: a choral celebration of our 30th anniversary”.
This will be the Choir’s last concert under its current Musical Director, Graham Coatman.
The 30th Anniversary Concert offers a programme of music from the 16th century right up the present day. The setting of “Set me as a seal upon thine heart” by David Russell was composed in January 2023.
Yeovil Chamber Choir was founded by Antony Saunders (Royal Academy of Music) in September 1993 under the aegis of Yeovil College as an evening class, performing three concerts a year. It has performed regularly ever since and has sung in numerous local churches; not just locally in Yeovil, Yetminster, Montacute and Sherborne, but further afield in Chard, Crewkerne, Dorchester, Merriott, Shaftesbury, Somerton and Wincanton.
