Concert by pianist Jiayang Song
Pianist Jiayang Song (China), prizewinning masters graduate from the Scottish Royal Conservatoire, plays music by Rameau, Beethoven, Schumann and Scriabin at the historic St. Michael's Parish Church in Linlithgow.
Jiayang Song (b. 1999) recently completed her Master of Music at RCS. She was a recipient of the Saltire and RCS scholarships.
As a soloist, she was a finalist of Steinway Youth Piano Competition in Northeast China Region and multiple prize winner in international competitions— First First Prize in Jilin Academy Aural Competition 2013 Academy Award, Gold Award in the 8th Arts Festivals of International Adolescents in Hong Kong in 2014, Gold Award in Nanyang International Piano Academy Competition 2021. Most recently, she won Third Prize (Commended Prize) at RCS Concerto Competition in 2023.
