The Knitted Bible
St Mary's at Old Newton is staging The Knitted Bible.This is an exquisite collection of knitted figures on loan from St George's URC Church in Hartlepool. The figures depict many of the familiar stories from both the Old and New Testaments. There are 36 scenes in all including: Noah's Ark, David and Goliath, The Good Samaritan, The Feeding of the 4000, The Nativity and The Last Supper. Many of the groups of figures have supporting scenery.
A perfect way to introduce children to stories from the Bible and a delight for adults too.

St Mary's will be open between 10am and 4pm on Friday 1st December until Monday 4th December 2023.
There is no charge to view the displays; however, we hope visitors will be generous with their donations. Monies raised by donations will go towards the upkeep of St Mary's.
Limited parking is available at St Mary's (IP14 4PJ); however, additional parking is available at Old Newton Village Hall (IP14 4ED), a 5 minute walk to the church.
