If you are wanting to learn to sing you'll find a happy place with us in the Ponteland Rock Choir.
The Ponteland Rock Choir is led by vocal teacher Rob Slater. The choir is for all ages and all the local Newcastle upon Tyne branches of Rock Choir, like ours come together to do incredible events like the 20,000 seat O2 Arena and Guinness World Record attempts (The Rock Choir members have got 3 world records and even had personal certificates arranged for them) and community events too like the local Newcastle upon Tyne music and food festivals.
We sing in Ponteland every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. If you feel you're not ready to join a choir yet, why not check out our choir events page at rockchoir.com There you can come along to see what we're all about - local people bringing the local Ponteland community together through something as simple as singing for the fun of it.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir has helped me through really bad times in my life. Singing together lifts my spirits and helps me forget all my worries. I have made really good friends and it has certainly raised my confidence!! A year ago would never have attempted a solo but now enjoy the challenge. Rock Choir is really good fun and I do love singing anyway.' - Pauline (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
