About this Event

FREE taster session with the Sheffield City Centre Rock Choir

If you have ever thought 'I want to join a choir near me in Sheffield (City Centre)?' then why not join your local Rock Choir.

The Sheffield (City Centre) Rock Choir is led by vocal teacher Kate Threlfall. We are the local community choir with the national reputation - join the Sheffield (City Centre) Rock Choir and experience the singing phenomenon that Will Smith described as 'Fantastic'. Whilst retaining our community spirit, we come together en masse for national and regional events, giving our members unrivalled performance opportunities and experiences beyond compare, ranging from appearing at Wembley Stadium to sing at the Rugby in October 2013 to our local South Yorkshire music, food and fireworks festivals!

You've probably heard us singing in and around South Yorkshire, or seen one of our many TV appearances, and never thought you'd have to courage to get up on stage and sing! But the unique teaching methods at the Sheffield (City Centre) Rock Choir, along with no need to audition or read music, mean that we are accessible to all. Come along and try us out for FREE at a taster session, and experience singing with your local 'exceptional' Rock Choir for yourself.

Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir has helped me through really bad times in my life. Singing together lifts my spirits and helps me forget all my worries. I have made really good friends and it has certainly raised my confidence!! A year ago would never have attempted a solo but now enjoy the challenge. Rock Choir is really good fun and I do love singing anyway.' - Pauline (Rock Choir Member)

Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
