Portrait Photography with Flash
Do you have a flash and no idea how to use it? Let us show you how to take beautiful photos using your flash, taking your photos to that next level and creating a wow factor! This is a day long workshop run by professional portrait photographer Louise Mills, based in the stunning setting of National Trust Clumber Park, which is within easy reach of the A1. This workshop is both classroom and field based, you'll leave with plenty of useful reference materials. What will I learn:
Why, how and when to use flash - we'll explain why you might use a flash to improve your portrait photography and how and when to use it
Different types of flash - we'll show you the different ways to use your flash and help you pick the right one for each situation, including both indoor and outdoor scenarios
Fill in flash - we'll show you what fill in flash is, how it works and help you learn how and when to use it
Flash as the main light source - we'll explain and show you how to use your flash when it's the main source of light for your photo
Auto flash and manual flash - we help you understand what they are and how and when to use them
Off camera flash - we look at what this is, and when and how to use it
Modifiers - we'll explain why you might like to use a modifier for your flash and what is available
Composition- we explain some of the main portrait compositional guidelines and show you how to put them into practice
