Book Launch: The Infernal Word
The Very Reverend Nicholas Papadopulos, Dean of Salisbury, launches his new book with a talk in the Nave of the Cathedral. The Infernal Word: Notes from a Rebel Angel is an irreverent and witty retelling of twelve familiar Bible stories, inspired by a series of addresses that The Dean gave while a Canon at Canterbury Cathedral. The book makes ideal season reading for anyone wishing to explore the story of salvation.
‘Witty and learned – Milton’s rebel angels re-imagined for the 21st century’ – Tom Holland (historian, author, podcaster)
‘Deceptively simple; profoundly insightful; immensely entertaining’ – Archbishop Justin Welby
We are delighted to welcome Katie Salamon, Wiltshire Harpist, to the event who will be playing during the evening.
Doors open at 18:30. Entry through the main visitor entrance.
40 minute talk, 10 minute Q & A, followed by a book signing and refreshments.
Entry to the talk is free but by ticket only. Tickets will be available from Monday 23 October at 10am.
