Vulcan Restoration Trust Christmas Event & Buffet
We are delighted to welcome as guest speaker at our 2023 Christmas Event & Buffer aviation historian Dr Tony Redding. Tony will be presenting his talk: 'Britain’s V-bomber deterrent: the threat to destroy Moscow and Leningrad'.
Tony is the author of two books on Bomber Command in World War 2: 'Flying for Freedom' (republished as 'Life and Death in Bomber Command') and 'Bombing Germany – the Final Phase'.
He has now turned his attention to Bomber Command in the post-war era and his new book 'V-Bombers: Britain’s Nuclear Frontline in the Cold War' will be published by Grub Street in the New Year.
Tony's book is the result of 7-years' of research, which has seen him interview more than 70 V-Force veterans and examine over 300 official documents.
It is sure to be a fascinating afternoon and one which will also include our famous Christmas Buffet, plus dessert, tea and coffee (included in the ticket price).
There will also be a licensed pay bar.
Entry is by advance ticket only. All are welcome; the event is open to both VRT Members and non-members.
