Traditional Willow Frame Baskets workshop
Willow weaving is a great way to learn about traditional techniques and natural materials. This whole day workshop is led by Cambridgeshire sculptor and weaver Jane Frost, who will provide you with skills to make unique frame baskets, for foraging or display for your home or as gifts.

Workshops are led by sculptor and weaver Jane Frost who will take you through all the techniques necessary to make, everyone will go home with a finished basket they can be proud of.
Maximum 6 places enable a really good learning experience. All tools and materials are supplied. This workshop is suitable for everyone over the age of 13, complete beginners and those who have done willow weaving before. Jane has great experience teaching all age groups with a variety of needs. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times.
Additional things you might like to bring. Stanley or Craft knife, Gardening gloves.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
You will need to have a reasonable amount of strength in your hands to be able to work with the willow. Please wear older clothes, such as you would wear for gardening, sandals are not advisable.
Willow needs to be prepared at least a week in advance for each workshop. Therefore if workshops are cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, bookings will be transferred to alternative dates. No refunds will be given.
Haddenham Arts Centre lies between Cambridge and the historic cathedral city of Ely. We are just over 8 miles from Ely and 15 miles from Cambridge with plentiful free parking on site.
There is a cafe at Haddenham Arts Centre, with good food made fresh each day.
