St Albans Choral Society: A Christmas Celebration
St Albans Choral Society first gave a Christmas concert in 1944 and has continued to do so ever since; this concert marks the start of Christmas for many people.
Do join us for our 2023 Christmas Celebration which will include James Francis Brown’s fabulous ‘Hertfordshire Carols’, written for and premiered by the choir in 2021, James MacMillan’s stirring anthem ‘O Radiant Dawn’, and a wide range of other carols, old and new, by composers including John Rutter, Bob Chilcott and David Willcocks. The programme also includes Festive readings from members of the choir and the opportunity to join in with traditional Christmas carols.
After the concert, festive refreshments will be provided by and on behalf of the charity 'Centre 33'
