King Charles Festival concert with Dei Gratia
Baroque ensemble ‘Dei Gratia’ present a programme celebrating the epiphany season through arias, duos and instrumental items with readings. Music by Bach, Handel, Buxtehude, Telemann, Locke and Green.
The concert takes place during the Festival weekend for this church, built in the Restoration and dedicated to King Charles I. There is also an annual lecture in the afternoon.
Dei Gratia is a collective of professional musicians who specialise in Baroque (17th- and 18th-century) music on period instruments, particularly music written in a Christian context.
