Carols by Candlelight
CANDLELIGHT SERVICE – Carols by Candlelight will be held in All Saints, Burton Dassett, (known as the Cathedral on the Hills) Sunday December 22nd at 3.30pm. Organist, Alastair Hotchkiss and friends will provide the music and Gaydon Voices will support the singing. All are welcome, all faiths or none.
Regulars to All Saints church know it is unheated, so you are reminded to dress very warmly from the feet up. Walking boots, hot water bottles and/or blankets are not unknown and recommended at least for the elderly, although a certain amount of warmth comes from the large number of people who usually attend.
Seasonal refreshments will be served after the service, including hopefully gluten free. Plenty of parking on hills (see finger post pointing the way down towards cattle grid), but early arrival advisable to get as close to the cattle grid as possible. Modest amount of parking available closer to church for disabled. Access for wheelchairs. Modern toilet facilities just outside the church.
A torch would be advisable for departure.
Individual candles are handed out at beginning of service to responsible adults. All children must be strictly supervised for safety of all.
