Photography in Nature: Back to Basics
Start the year with a back-to-basics boost to your photography!
This is a practical and hands-on workshop which covers the foundations in photography and how to create the perfect exposure. We learn about controls and settings for wildlife photography and in particular how to select an appropriate shutter speed, aperture and ISO setting for the ideal exposure.
Accurate focus is key in wildlife photography. We look at focal points and focal areas and how to achieve precision, guiding where the eye falls and the order in which we see key elements within the frame.
The nature and wildlife of the beautiful wetland reserve is the perfect setting for learning to photograph a variety of subjects, including seasonal, migratory and collection birds.
What to bring? Your camera fully charged and additional memory cards. A mid-range zoom lens is perfect and a longer lens if you have one.
Is this workshop for me? This course is ideal for all levels of photography; as an introductory foundation course for beginners, or as a refresher course to fine-tune camera skills for those with more experience.
How will we be learning? A mixture of classroom, 1-1 tuition and out-door practical experience.
