About this Event
BETRAYAL and THE DUMB WAITER
Warton Drama Group present two of Harold Pinter’s most acclaimed plays in an exciting and unmissable double bill. First produced in 1978, Betrayal explores the damage that accompanies the duration of a nine year affair. The play’s narrative, famously told in reverse chronology confronts the passion, pain and regret of marital deception. The classic two-hander, The Dumb Waiter, from 1960, takes us into the world of two hit-men, waiting for their next “job”. It’s a play full of bizarre humour and ultimately menace.
