The Old Methodist Manse - Open Garden for NGS
When the riverside garden was purchased 50 years ago, the only trees were 10 mature Scots pine and a huge elm predating the house of 1880. Today it is mainly a woodland garden with 120 rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, camellias and other acid soil loving plants; betulas, parrotias, malus, ilexs, abutilons and eucryphia. Herbaceous perennials to attract wildlife. Also a vegetable garden and greenhouse.
