Sawston Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Five gardens in this large South Cambs village. 11 Mill Lane is an attractive C16/C19 house with an impressive semi-circular front lawn edged with roses and mixed borders, and a secluded sun-dappled garden at the rear. The two acre Mary Challis Garden has a tranquil setting in the heart of the village, with extensive lawns, wildflower meadow, herbaceous borders, orchard, vegetable beds, vinehouse and beehives. 22 St Mary's Road has a large garden overlooking SSSI meadows at the rear, featuring colourful borders, gravel beds, herb garden, wooded ditch, pond, fruit trees and beehives. 10 Wynemares presents colourful and creative plantings in a small developing garden.
