Stanton in Peak Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

Stanton in Peak is a hillside, stone village which is a Conservation Area in the Peak District National Park. Three gardens are open, all with glorious views. Steve's garden at 2 Haddon View is at the top of the village and is crammed with plants. Follow the winding path up the garden with a few steps. There are cacti flowering in the greenhouse, lots of pots, herbaceous borders, three wildlife ponds with red and pink water lilies, a koi pond, lots of rhododendrons and a cosy summerhouse. Enjoy home-made cakes and refreshments on one of the patios. Just down the hill is Woodend where Will has constructed charming roadside stone follies on a strip of raised land along the road. The hidden rear garden has diverse planting, and an extended vegetable plot.
