Ashcroft and Claremont - Open Garden for NGS
Weeping limes hide Ashcroft, a one acre garden of green tranquillity, rooms flow seamlessly around the Edwardian house. Covered courtyard with lizard water feature, sunken herb bed, kitchen garden, greenhouse, wildlife boundaries home to five hedgehogs increasing yearly. Deep shade border, woodland area and ruin with stone carvings and stained glass sculpture. Claremont is a master class in clipped perfection. An artist with an artist's eye has blurred the boundaries of this small Italianate influenced garden. Overlooking the aviary, a stone lion surveys the large pots and borders of vibrant planting, completing the Feng-Shui design of this beautiful all seasons garden.
