Walcot Hall - Open Garden for NGS
Arboretum planted by Lord Clive of Indias son, Edward in1800. Cascades of rhododendrons and azaleas amongst specimen trees and pools. Fine views of Sir William Chambers Clock Towers, with lake and hills beyond. Walled kitchen garden, dovecote, meat safe, ice house and mile-long lakes. Russian wooden church, grotto and fountain, tin chapel. Relaxed borders and rare shrubs. Lakeside replanted and water garden at western end re-established. Outstanding Ballroom where excellent teas are served.
