Four very different gardens in the picturesque village of Goathurst on the edge of the Quantock Hills. The Lodge and Old Orchard are beautiful examples of quintessentially English cottage gardens approx 30 metres apart in a rural village setting. The gardens at Halswell Park are a history of garden design in England, with a new knot garden created to reflect an original C16 design. The garden of the Temple of Pan is centred on an C18 baroque folly built as part of the pleasure gardens for Halswell House.
