One day Pastel workshops with Richard Suckling

This one day workshop, suitable for all abilities, is all about limiting your palette of colours to create dramatic landscapes and seascapes. With just a few colours, we will employ a strong tonal contrast and pictorial design to give us maximum impact. We will explore the technique of choosing a small but harmonious range of colours and how paper surface colour impacts on our final painting. From a small tonal sketch to a larger finished painting, we will discover how this approach can help us make dynamic pastel paintings full of light and drama. A home cooked lunch and all refreshments are included.
