About this Event

Mostly Mozart - Concerts in Caversham

Exquisite chamber-music by Mozart, Benjamin Britten and Goosens. Mozart's Flute Quartet in A, his Piano Quartet in G minor and a Serenade in C for string trio. Added bonuses of Benjamin Britten's quintessentially English - Fantasy Quartet for oboe and strings and a charming trio for oboe, flute and piano by the famous oboist Eugene Goosens, for whom Britten composed his Fantasy Quartet complete the programme. Some of Concerts in Caversham's most valued performers - Jiafeng Chen-violin, Michelle Bruil-viola, Peter Adams-cello, Adrienne Black-piano and Timothy Watts-oboe, will enthral and delight in equal measure - to be recommended. They will introduce their programme for you and full programmes are also available to buy.
These concerts have been running for 12 1/2 years - recent comments from our Autumn Festival are below:
'Just wanted to let you know how much Paul and I enjoyed that concert yesterday evening. Such an exhilarating performance. Paul’s comment was ‘well that knocked all the Proms I went to this summer into a cocked hat’!
'I just had to say how amazing last night's concert was. I managed to say the word stunning as I passed you on the way out, but I was on such a high that I could hardly speak.'
'Adrienne, just wanted you and the team to know how outstanding the concerts were. Thanks so much to you for organising them, and to the musicians.'
'These delightful evenings just get better and better and all on our doorstep!!'
Tickets are available now from the 'Box Office' at www.concertsincaversham.co.uk or in person from the Caversham Picture Framers (closed on Mondays). The Box Office and bar open at 6.45pm on the night - it is advised to buy tickets in advance though as they do sell well. We like to encourage the younger members of the community to attend, so all under 16s are totally free and there is also a reduced rate for the under 25s.
