A right royal knees up – Bromsgrove care home to host birthday bash
On Thursday 25th January, from 2.30pm-4.30pm, Care UK’s Chandler Court, on Recreation Road, is opening its doors for its ‘right royal’ sixth birthday celebration.
The theme is a nod to the heritage of the home and the area, as Buckingham Palace’s gates were manufactured in Bromsgrove, and the King’s residence has given its name to one of the care home’s suites.
Guests are invited to dress to impress in red, white or blue, and there will be a host of tasty treats fit for royalty – including a special buffet and a birthday cake, specially prepared by the home’s Head Chef.
Those keen to learn more about royal history and its ties to the local area are also invited to enjoy a special talk from a community guest speaker.
Tina Lilly, Home Manager at Chandler Court, said: “Many of us here at Chandler Court are passionate about royal history, so we thought why not make it the theme of our sixth birthday celebrations!
“The last six years have flown by, and we’re incredibly proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with members of the Bromsgrove community in that time. That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to be opening our doors and celebrating with all those who have been a part of our journey.
“Residents and team members have been busy adorning the home with bunting, and there’s a regal feel to the place ahead of the big day – we can’t wait to welcome everyone!”
Chandler Court is a state-of-the-art care home which provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable its residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the care home has its very own cinema, café and hair salon, and there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, for relaxation and recreation.
