Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society talk
In this month's meeting of the Bucks Pottery & Sculpture Society we will have a talk and demonstration by ceramic artist Alison Pink. Alison's professional life has been consistently animal based - from veterinary practice to lecturing in anatomy and physiology at an agricultural college. This has left her with a sound knowledge of animal structure and movement. If it walks, swims or flies, she is passionate about immortalising it in clay. She adds detail by imprinting texture using random items - these could be anything from lace, shells, braid or rubber stamps to just odd bits from 'that drawer' in the kitchen!
