Historic Caversham Walk

Historic Caversham Walk

This historical walk will encompass much of central Caversham and will end at St Peter’s Church and graveyard. From here, if you wish, you can enter Caversham Court Gardens to finish with tea and cake at the kiosk.

The walk lasts about an hour. It will be guided by Megan Aldrich, an architectural historian, who will explain the continuity of the vernacular architecture, the layers of St Peter’s Church as a building, and the importance of Turner and John Loveday. Helen Lambert, Chair of the Caversham and District Residents Association for the past 18 years, will outline the lessons from local historical projects.

Numbers are limited, so pre-booking is required. Please note: ticket sales close three days before the event.
