About this Event
Love or Loss - A Meditation half day course
Love and Loss – a Buddhist Approach
Half day meditation course at Uma KMC with guest teacher Gen Kelsang Chogma
Saturday February 17
10 – 1pm
We love our family and friends and want them to always be happy and free from suffering. Yet it can be so painful for us when they move away, separate from us or pass away.
If we learn to carefully and gently separate our love for our family and friends from our attachment to them, we will be able to help them so much when they leave, and be much less upset ourselves.
We can also gain a lot of strength by understanding more about karma and rebirth – two essential Buddhist beliefs.
We are delighted to welcome our guest teacher, Gen Kelsang Chogma, the resident Teacher at Atisha Kadampa Meditation Centre in Darlington. Gen Chogma has been practising and teaching meditation and Kadampa Buddhism for over 25 years.
She was ordained as a Buddhist nun in 2009 by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and serves as a wonderful example of the ordained way of life in the modern world. She is loved for her joyful enthusiasm and gentle skills in guiding meditations.
