THE GEOMORPHOLOGY AND SEDIMENTOLOGY OF DESERTS We are delighted to welcome Professor Ian Livingstone, Emeritus Professor of Physical Geography at The University of Northampton who will talk to us. Ian He has spent a lifetime researching the geomorphology of deserts, particularly the work of wind in forming dunes and dust deposits. He is co-editor of ‘Aeolian Geomorphology: a new introduction’ (Wiley, 2019). He started out with doctoral research in Namibia, and most recently worked in the Mojave Desert, California, taking in the Kalahari, the Sahara, Australia and Oman in between.
