Ando Glaso Collective (music)
Ando Glaso Collective brings together some of the best musicians from Scotland’s Romanian, Polish, Slovak, Czech and Hungarian Roma communities. The group’s repertoire is based on authentic Gypsy music and incorporates each participant’s own music heritage.
As Roma communities remain largely isolated both from the mainstream societies and each other, Ando Glaso Collective’s unique collaboration creates a vibrant, high octane musical adventure that is just as exciting for the group as it is for the audience. Prepare to be enthralled!
Founded in 2019 by Ando Glaso, the group has previously performed at Celtic Connections, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Perth Concert Hall and the Scots Fiddle Festival, and were Glasgow Life’s Artists in Residence for Southside Central in 2021.
