Britain's What's On Event Guide
Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub
Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub was founded in December 2009 and is a good way for people from all walks of life to hear from experts and discuss with them important issues that affect us all, while enjoying their favourite beverage. Meetings are held every third Monday of the month at Farm Road Social Club, Farm Road, Sheffield S2 2TP. There is no need to book and no entrance fee, but a voluntary donation of £3 is welcome to cover speaker's expenses and room hire. Parking is free.
Our February 2024 event is hosted by Sheffield Humanists and is a presentation by 'Polyp', a professional cartoonist, graphic novelist and science educator. ‘Polyp’ will give an illustrated talk based on his recent graphic novel biography of Thomas Paine, outlining the ideas and almost hilariously dramatic life of this great advocate of free speech, rationality, science and democracy.
There is no need to book, and there is no entrance fee, but a voluntary donation of £3 is welcome to cover speaker’s expenses and room hire. Free carpark. Come early to avoid queuing at the bar.
Monday February 19th at 7.30 pm.
