Beds Talks: Eating, Drinking & Exercising in a Warming World
Join the University of Bedfordshire for a free interactive Beds Talks event – ‘Eating, Drinking & Exercising in a Warming World’ – delving deep into the impacts of climate change on sports science and nutrition through a series of enlightening talks.
Hosted by Dr Michael Newell (Senior Lecturer in Health, Nutrition and Exercise), this event will also feature live workshops from academics and students who will showcase topics including sustainable nutrition and cooling techniques.
This event will utilise the University's state-of-the-art laboratory spaces and facilities found at the Bedford campus, which are purpose-built for research and teaching in the fields of exercise and nutrition science. This includes specialised equipment and facilities for assessing human health risks and delivering exercise and diet interventions for health promotion. These specialist labs give students a fantastic environment to develop their research skills and expertise.
