While the doors to Pictureville Cinema are temporarily closed, we are taking up residency at The Studio next to the Alhambra Theatre to bring you classic and cult cinema, special events and a chance to see films you might never have seen on a big screen before.
Screenings will start from 8 February with a programme featuring:
-Cinema Unbound: The Creative Worlds of Powell & Pressburger. This nationwide season from the BFI features four masterpieces from this legendary British directing duo, including Black Narcissus and The Red Shoes.
-Rebel Women. is a series of documentaries that shine a light on some of the trailblazing female figures that shaped art in the modern world.
-From Stage to Screen features some of the best theatrical adaptations and inspirations such as Billy Elliot and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
-Love Is. From the fantastical to the heartbreaking romance, with a Galentine's Day screening of Legally Blonde.
-The return of their weekday 60+ Silver Screen Club and Kids' Club on Saturdays.
